ABOUT LAUREN

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a focus in film and documentary, Lauren went on to study Interior Design at the Art Institute of New England as well as the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

While working for one of the House Beautiful Magazine’s Top 100 Designers in New York City, Lauren was fortunate enough to work on projects ranging in location from New York City, The Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard and Montana to the French West Indies.

When the joys and complexities of raising a young family needed her full attention, Lauren left NYC for Greenwich, CT but could never truly leave designing behind. When a passion for moving friend’s furniture around became requests for design advice and project management, Lauren Spelman Interiors was born. With projects in Westchester County, NY and Fairfield County, CT- Lauren’s knack for creating colorful, functional, yet beautiful spaces for clients with young families became her trademark.

Each project brings with it a rush of inspiration and excitement whether starting from scratch with construction projects and all new custom pieces or combining cherished family heirlooms with fresh items to suit a busy family lifestyle. Each project is unique and so is the way Lauren approaches each one. The greatest compliment is when a former client comes back as repeat business or shares Lauren Spelman Interiors as a referral!
